Advanced Tower Inspection
Deploying advanced LiDAR-equipped UAVs for power transmission tower inspections significantly reduces the need for manual climbs, lowers labor requirements, and improves safety by minimizing exposure to hazardous conditions. It also streamlines automated records management, enhancing documentation accuracy and operational efficiency.
Designed for seamless integration with industry-standard platforms, the cybersecurity-certified system, ROS/ROS 2.0 compatible, adapts easily to existing workflows.
Autonomous Central Location
The LiDAR scanner UAV can operate autonomously from a central location, performing scheduled inspections of multiple towers along pre-defined, regulatory-compliant flight paths — including operations within No-Fly Zones. Each mission captures high-resolution scans of tower structures, insulators, and conductors (particularly in sagging areas) from all necessary angles. AI-assisted analysis of scan data supports predictive maintenance by informing follow-up scheduling based on detected wear or anomalies. High Voltage Tower Scanner Innovation
The platform also supports additional features and payloads, including integration with our BADGER FLIGHT CONTROLLER enabling expanded AI-driven functionality.
When needed, the UAV may also be manually piloted for one-off or traditional inspection protocols where autonomous scheduling is not required.
