The UmbrellaPlatform is a transformative, revolutionary design methodology incorporated only in the BADASS HELICOPTER product line.
The propulsion, energy, AI, and communications systems are all incorporated into the top umbrella-like structure of our UAV. It is completely autonomous and may, in fact, fly by itself. It is comprised of 8 sections, each with its own propeller, motor, motor controller, structural supports, battery compartment, and all integrated together by a centralized, powerful, AI computer system housing the BADGER FLIGHT CONTROLLER and its software.
Our UmbrellaPlatform utilizes repeated mechanical subassemblies which fit together like hand-in-glove, and both their assembly and disassembly are resultingly extremely easy and reliable. Parts connect in a manner which is quick and easy to put together, using locking mechanisms of CNC custom machined parts which will not degrade or loosen over time. These are stronger and more reliable than both welded joints and cast metal parts. They lock together using titanium locking pins and other extremely reliable methods.
By centrally locating all systems in this UmbrellaPlatform, the lower part of the aircraft, the fuselage, may take on virtually any shape or form to match the customersβ needs, creating the most versatile aircraft platform ever envisioned.
Fully extended, our UmbrellaPlatform encompasses 15.5β Γ 15.5β Γ 7.5β, yet it packs into an easily transportable 5β Γ 3.3β Γ 2.6β case. Its huge footprint yields the most naturally stable flying surface, as the 8 propulsion systems are distributed as far as possible away from each other. Even with multiple, simultaneous simulated failures of any 3 of its propellers, motors, or motor controllers, our UAV maintains air worthiness and is capable of making a fully controlled landing.
Whether you require a mothership capable of transporting and releasing 100 individual FPV 5β Class Search-and-Rescue UAVs or bringing medical supplies deep in remote mountains, our UmbrellaPlatform will meet the challenge.
